Welcome to Branching Outward, a program designed by a young person to educate and engage fellow youth in tree planting.
Branching Outward is a project created by Evan Boesen, a 16-year old Ag Bio student with a passion for agronomy and a vision for tackling community hunger, one apple tree at a time. He works alongside a nonprofit, Blixt Locally Grown, to maximize the impact of Branching Outward.
Branching Outward empowers youth mentors and teen community builders to work alongside elementary school students to plant apple trees on their school grounds and in their community. This hands-on activity is both engaging and educational, as it tackles the topic of community hunger and advocates for fruit and vegetable bearing plants in public spaces.
Branching Outward works alongside schools and communities to grow produce and possibilities.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
